Class Policies


Registration
Space is limited. Pre-registration and payment is required. Missed classes may be made up at a later session if the same class is offered again. If you wish to make up the class as a private lesson with the instructor, the private lesson fees will incur.

Fees
Fees listed are for the complete class, including all sessions but DO NOT include materials or patterns unless noted.

Supplies
Students purchasing materials for a class will receive a 20% discount on yarn only.

Cancellation/Refunds

Fees are refundable if you cancel within 5 days of the first class. Hillcreek or the instructor may cancel the class for lack of enrollment, and your fee will be refunded.

Prerequisites
We offer classes for all skill levels, but not every class is designed for every level. To ensure that everyone gets the most of the class, please respect the skill requirements listed.

We ask that you please show up on time and have all your supplies, or get here early to purchase supplies.

Reverse Engineering Your Favorite Sweater - Sep 27, 2014


This is always a student hit! Bring in your favorite store bought sweater and we'll do some measuring and figuring and write a pattern for you to recreate it...as close as possible, of course. Please do not bring in a cobweb lace weight sweater that would have to be knit on "000" needles unless you actually think you would knit it!

Finishing and Blocking Your Projects - Oct 04, 2014


Learn how to finish before you start, how to make the neatest edges and seams and how to block things like scarves and sweaters. This is not a lace blocking class.

Rug Twining with Irene and Gretchen - Oct 11, 2014


Rug Twining with Irene and Gretchen Learn this unique and historic technique for making sturdy rugs from rags. Students will make a 9" x 9" mat. By doing this, they will learn all the steps of making a full-sized rug. All materials are provided, including a simple loom that students may keep.
